Growing up in the inner parts of the city of Cleveland, Sellers Johnson IV, known to most as “Gods Child”, has always been involved in community and ministry work within his city. Being the son of an awesome street evangelist, Sellers III instilled the passion for seeing lost people saved into his son which made Gods Child drive that much stronger. With the desire to reach people that most Christians forget about, Gods Child set his marks on targeting those spots and places to do so. God has blessed him with a wonderful ability to tell stories through songs and paint lyrical portrait with Hip-Hop. In doing so, Gods Child uses his gift far and wide, in clubs, jails, schools, churches, or just plain street corners “because in order to reach people you must move where they move“, quote from Gods Child song.
Gods Child is currently serving at New City Church as the Hip-Hop worship leader. Infusing Hip-Hop and live instruments to create something fresh and relevant for the generation of today. He is also apart of the evangelistic team at New City as well as Victory Baptist Church, where his brother Marlon pastors. He is a devoted husband to wife Aretha and loving father to two wonderful children Sellers V(5yrs) & Trinity Sky(6mos).
